Recommended for anyone that works from suspended scaffolds. This course meets the City of Chicago requirement for suspended scaffold user training.  The course focuses on creating awareness of the hazards associated with suspended scaffolds and the procedures to follow for the safe work from and operation of these scaffolds.  The course is also a good introduction course or refresher course for individuals involved with erecting suspended scaffolds.

Recommended for individuals that the employer is desiring to designate as a competent person for frame scaffolds.  The SAIA has an alliance with OSHA and the fact that the employer has sent his Competent Persons through this third-party training carries weight with them.

After taking this course, students should be able to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards.

The OSHA 10-hour class is intended for entry level workers. The OSHA Outreach Training Program for the Construction Industry provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in the construction industry. The program also provides information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. There are some portions of the training that are considered electives and you are encouraged to get with our Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer to custom design your course.

Per 29 CFR 1910.178(I) Employers must ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified.

Recommended for anyone who will operate an Aerial Work Platform or Scissor Lift. This class includes instruction on operations, maintenance, and inspection, and includes a hands-on evaluation with the AWP the individuals will be using.

Stone Mountain Access Systems’ Trainer is certified to provide the American Heart Association First Aid course.  This course provides basic first aid and safety skills, equipping individuals to recognize and provide basic first aid care for injuries and sudden illnesses. Students will learn how to identify and care for a variety of medical emergencies, including severe bleeding, shock, musculoskeletal injuries and other sudden illnesses, as well as how to reduce the risk of disease transmission while providing care.
